Our mission is to enable the decentralized future, and our vision is to be the storage layer for the decentralized internet.

Storj is looking for a Product Manager who will work with our core backend teams to determine functionality and protocol-level changes to implement. In this role, you will need a deep understanding of cloud object storage features and providers. You will significantly contribute to technical conversations related to features being designed and developed.

You will work with various engineering teams such as the MetaInfo team who handles protocol changes, the Edge team who develops edge services, and Durability who is responsible for file durability on the network.

Responsibilities

  • Gather technical product requirements such as API specifications.
  • Write product requirement documents outlining functionality to be built

  • Work with engineering teams to create, prioritize, and tend to issues (tickets) in the product backlog
  • Attend sprint planning, product backlog management, and daily standup meetings
  • Help promote exciting new initiatives across the organization
  • Coordinate with other stakeholders in our software development life cycle regarding feature design, test outlines, implementation, and deployment
  • Translate incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into clear and actionable plans
  • Understand user pain points in our product and discover new use cases for our users

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a product or engineering role.
  • Substantial technical understanding of object storage features and the object storage market.
  • Ability to engage in in-depth technical conversations about architectural decisions and new product features
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Github (and/or other product-focused tools)
