Storj is looking for an Engineering Project Manager to keep the Engineering Team efficient at resolving cross-team tasks and issues. We need someone to help us keep processes moving and people accountable to our processes. This person essentially will be a type of Scrum Lead for the Engineering Team or team-wide accountability partner.



Responsibilities


  • Keep track of key issues reported from the Support and Sales teams.
  • Keep teams and individuals accountable for prioritizing their work on key issues, following up on important action items from engineering meetings, nudging when necessary.
  • Be the point of contact for the Product, Support and Sales teams regarding status of key issues.
  • Organize dashboards in the ticketing system and status documentation pages to have transparency on progress.
  • Run regular and ad-hoc meetings for cross-team issues.
  • Report on status/metrics/high-level velocity through progress in Jira/Github Issues/Commits
  • Drive potentially monotonous processes and work with teams to make sure commitments happen.



Qualifications


  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Lead in IT projects.
  • Familiarity with scrum concepts is helpful. 
  • This position does not require experience as a software engineer, but it would be helpful to be familiar with the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with ticketing systems. Experience with Jira , GitHub Issues, or Zendesk is a plus.
  • Good and efficient communication skills. Good note-taking skills. Ability to work in a team as well as an individual with little or no supervision.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Certifications as a Project Manager or Scrum Lead are helpful, but not required.
