As the Sr. Solution Architect on our sales team, you will bring a track record of success implementing solutions which leverage cloud-based IaaS and PaaS technology. You will be a key technical lead in helping define, develop, and manage the evaluation and execution of technical integrations with customers and tech partners. You will help potential prospects understand the unique value of decentralized cloud storage; assisting with everything from pre-sales technical objection handling and POCs, through post-sales delivery. 


Storj’s potential technology partners range from MSPs, storage hardware manufacturers, backup application developers, and open source projects, especially databases. In this role, you will be a customer and partner-facing technical member of the team working closely with our product management, engineering, and marketing teams to deliver end-to-end, valuable joint solutions to our partners and customers.

Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the sales organization on all revenue-generating opportunities and lead the needs analysis process in understanding customer challenges and requirements
  • Support the sales team in documenting and translating requirements to ensure Storj’s ability to accomplish customer goals
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Secure input from all necessary stakeholders within Storj, as necessary, to ensure the technical solution identified is the most appropriate for a use case and integration type.
  • Craft presentations and demonstration pitches for different audience types
  • Continually act as a liaison with Storj customer success, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to provide input from customers, as well as be educated on new advancements in products and programs.
  • Opportunistically pursue additional business development opportunities within client organizations. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and facilitate progress as applicable.


Must Have:


  • A minimum of 5-7 years experience as a Sales Engineer or a Solution Consultant working in the enterprise software area
  • Engineering / Implementation experience with cloud object storage and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, Wasabi, or Backblaze
  • Experience with building strong relationships throughout the partnership cycle with a partner’s technical staff and executive leadership
  • Ability to articulate product positioning and competitive differentiation to both business and technical users
  • Ability to work on a team spread across multiple timezones.
